many times I was asked in my earlier duck-years…
“what does a duck have to do with being gay???”  
 
to me the answer was obvious….if we are everywhere….
then that “everywhere” includes a duck pond.
which was quickly followed by my clever rapport….
“besides what have you got against ducks, anyway??!!!??”
 
back in the mid- 90’s
when I made the personal-professional decision to

“OUT”  buckminster duck

and launch him into the world of the gay press,
little did I realize that I was as
progressive, imaginative and innovative as I was!!!!. 
 
now there seems to be gay ducks everywhere you turn….
QUEER DUCK 
(I've decided to take the HIGH ROAD...but.....don’t get me started!!!!!!)
and then there's Harvey Fierstein’s 
“THE SISSY DUCKLING”
(you are adorable!!!…duck-smooches to Harvey and Elmer). 
 
what you find here is the
“original duck” of “gay” sorts! 
 “buckminster duck” has quite a sorted and assorted duck-history.
since his conception….ummm….er….hatching
he has been anything but subtle!

  over the last year or so
a tremendous amount of creative time and energy
has been put into the re-design of the strip.
the journey from
“such is LIFE!” to “QUACK CITY!” 
has been a colorful and vibrant time with 
duckfeathers flying in all directions.
 
through all the duck-tales that have brought him to this point
of modern technology and gimmickry…..
the heart of buckminster duck has remained constant.
 
ALAS!!!…. 
the long-awaited return of this much-loved duck 
is now available by the click of a mouse.
 there's something about a mouse and duck 
that rings familiar....
i am not going to mention any names,
i can't afford the law-suit!

even though the trials and tribulations of being syndicated
wore buckminster out a bit…..
he has never disappeared.
he was always quacking-about somewhere…
now it is time for his comeback!!!
